Meditation has been used by many different cultures for millennia. Meditation involves directing your attention to something so that you can alter your state of consciousness; such things you can concentrate on include the breath, symbols, sounds, colours, and thoughts. It is a simple practice, however like all great things in life, needs a level of practice and commitment.
